A step-by-step journey into working with sound — from first ideas to a fully realised creative practice.Designed for beginners, guided through listening, making, and reflection.


Introduction to Sound & Ableton Live

Begin by understanding sound as material. You’ll be introduced to the world of music production and the Ableton Live interface, learning how sound behaves, how it is organised, and how to start building simple ideas.


Working with MIDI, Audio & Structure

Learn how to create and shape musical ideas using MIDI and audio. You’ll explore rhythm, melody, and basic music theory while beginning to arrange your ideas into simple structures.


Sampling, Workflow & Track Building

Move deeper into the process of making music. You’ll work with sampling, MIDI effects, automation, and workflow techniques—learning how to develop and refine your tracks with clarity and intention.


Sound Design, Synthesis & Mixing

Explore how sound can be designed and transformed. You’ll learn synthesis, resampling, and audio processing, along with mixing techniques that help bring balance, depth, and cohesion to your work.


Refinement, Pre-Mastering & Expansion

Understand how to prepare your tracks for output. You’ll refine your work through advanced mixing, pre-mastering, and explore tools like plugins and Max for Live to expand your creative possibilities.


Expression & Creative Openness

Shift from technique to expression. Through guided exercises, discussions, and writing, you’ll explore vulnerability, emotion, and personal storytelling in your music.


Self-Discovery & Artistic Direction

Begin to understand your voice as an artist. You’ll reflect on intention, navigate creative uncertainty, and develop a more personal and meaningful relationship with your work.


Listening, Context & Influence

Explore music beyond production. Through listening, observation, and references across disciplines, you’ll begin to see how sound exists within a larger artistic and cultural context.


Building Your Sonic World

Translate your ideas into a cohesive body of work. You’ll learn to develop themes, construct narratives, and plan larger projects like EPs and conceptual pieces.


Performance & Artistic Vision

Extend your work beyond the DAW. You’ll explore live performance, visual storytelling, and how to present your music as a complete, immersive experience.


Final Showcase & Completion

Bring your journey together in a final presentation of your work — a moment to reflect, share, and mark the evolution of your practice.
